Intricately woven wire work done by the French around the turn of the last century resulted in many fine pieces of which this is just one of the surviving pieces. The basket has woven wire handles and woven wirework in a repeating pattern with each section over the section preceding it and heart handles. (Majolica 1910’ plate sold separately)
